Cognitive pages

The graduate training program in Cognitive Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst has research emphases on attention, categorization, cognitive neuroscience, computational modeling, memory, psycholinguistics, reading, and visual cognition. New graduate students initially affiliate with one of these areas, but may shift from one to another as their interests develop. Many graduate students work in more than one area.

You can learn more about our faculty, students, facilities, and requirements by exploring the links in the menu to the left. If you have additional questions about our program, contact our Area Head, Professor Kyle Cave, at kcave@psych.umass.edu, 413.545.2787, or by writing him at the Department of Psychology, University of Massachusetts, Box 37710, Amherst, MA 01003_7710. Of course, you are welcome to contact other faculty in our program as well. We also encourage you to visit UMass, see the region, and speak with faculty and graduate students. For more general information, see the UMass Graduate School page.

The Cognitive Psychology area invites applications for two faculty positions, to begin September, 2009.
